Brief Technical Information and User Guide About Hotfix Stones
Technical data:
Hotfix stones are thermal adhesive stones generally used for decoration purposes in the textile and clothing industry. These stones are usually made of glass or crystal and have thermal adhesive on the back. These stones, bonded by applying heat, can be easily applied to clothing or other fabrics. Hotfix stones can be found in different sizes and colours, thus offering a variety of decoration and design options.
User Guide:
Preparation:
- Make sure the fabric to be treated is clean and smooth. There should be no roughness or dirt on the fabric.
- Before applying the hotfix stones, plan your design and mark it on the fabric if necessary.
Placement:
- Using small tweezers or applicator, position the hotfix stones in the desired shape. Pay attention to the distance between the stones and the layout of the pattern.
APPLICATION:
- Secure hotfix stones using a heat press or iron. The temperature and application time of the heat press may vary depending on the type of stone used and the type of fabric. Generally, it is recommended that the heat press be at 150-180°C.
- The application time for complete fixation of the stones is generally between 10-15 seconds. However, this time may vary depending on the size of the stones and the temperature.
Cooling and Control:
- After application, wait for the hotfix stones to cool completely.
- Check the stones after they have cooled. If the stones are not fixed properly, repeat the application.
Final Touches:
- If there are excess heat press marks on the fixed hotfix stones, gently wipe them off using a cloth or clean rag.
- Turn the fabric used inside out and iron it briefly to heat-set the back of the applied hotfix stones once more.
Use:
- You can use your fabric decorated with fully fixed hotfix stones as you wish. Wash and dry clothing according to washing instructions.
By following this guide you can successfully apply hotfix stones and customize your designs.
